On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 4:05 AM, SAPD Officers responded to a Shooting in Progress call outside of 602 E. Commerce. Witnesses stated that two suspects started a fight with a group of teens. During the fight, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and began shooting at the teens, striking the victim, who was walking by and was not involved in the altercation or part of any of the groups.

A camera from a business at the Riverwalk captured the suspects fleeing after the shooting.

  1. One suspect was a Hispanic male, 25-35 years of age, approximately 5-6 and stocky, wearing a colorful shirt with designs on the back. His hair was long, in a two-strand twist (dreads), and shaved on the sides.
  2. The second suspect was a tall, thin, Hispanic male in his 20s, with facial hair, wearing a dark North Face hooded sweatshirt.
